These release notes contain major API extensions, fundamental UI/UX changes, and important bug fixes.

UI/UX changes[edit]

  • iOS devices: Increased screen usage for iPhoneX+ devices
  • Improved user experience for devices that do not have a 16:9 screen ratio (specifically, desktop, tablet, and mobile devices)
  • Added shadow frame to separate the application screen from the background
  • Added dimmer to darken the application background (i.e. fading out white spaces) if a zoomed/scaled video is playing
  • Added new on-screen remote control type (Settings → Remote Control → Corner Controls) for tablet and mobile devices
  • Added new on-screen remote control type (Settings → Remote Control → Complex) for testing purposes
